JYU.Well Summer Team

The mission of the JYU.Well community for wellbeing research at the University of Jyväskylä is to support the impact and visibility of our university's multidisciplinary well-being research and teaching. JYU.Well Summer Team is our concept where we recruit a multidisciplinary group of university students for summer jobs/internships to work on a specific theme. This year the theme is citizen science in wellbeing research.

The summer team organizes itself to work in multidisciplinary teams of 2-4 people, supported collectively by JYU.Well, and this year also by the Finnish Digital Citizen Science Centre at JYU. The work will be directed towards wellbeing research in different scientific fields.

The tasks include compiling information on citizen science related to wellbeing across different fields, as well as emerging ideas within our university and internationally. The group will also promote awareness of citizen science opportunities among researchers and citizens and provide support for citizen science projects. The Summer Team is also responsible for compiling and writing a report to ensure the collected information remains accessible in the future.
