Capital Business Controller


We’re now looking for an experienced and dynamic BUSINESS CONTROLLER. The Business Controller position is accountable for the performance management of Capital Business Area, including supporting the development of a financial and operational performance reporting designed to enhance profitability. Business Controller serves as an adviser for both a Business Area's leadership and Group's financial department. Business Controller will be a member of Capital BA management team and co-operates with group and operations controllers located in Jyväskylä. Responsibilities of the professional in question are to analyze and forecast Capital business financial performance, identify performance gaps and proactively drive the identified performance improvement opportunities. Development of ICT tools for business performance and forecasting in co-operation with ICT and group finance is also a part of the role in addition other ad hoc development tasks and projects (for example Finance and Financial consolidation system implementations). The person is ideally located at Jyväskylä or alternatively at Vantaa. The position includes occasional travel.

What we need from you

  • Understanding of industrial manufacturing operations and processes
  • Knowledge of Activity Based Costing
  • Experience with Management Accounting / Reporting tools in general
  • 3+ years of experience of finance and controlling as well as applicable education
  • Knowledge of data warehouse tools and strong Excel skills
  • ERP knowledge, ideally Lean System (knowledge of e.g. SAP Business by Design is considered as an advantage)
  • In-depth knowledge of P&L, B/S, NWC and Cash analysis
  • Fluency in spoken and written Finnish and English (also Spanish and German are considered as an advantage)
