Full-Stack Web Developer
We are looking for a Full-Stack Web Developer with demonstrated ability to ship impactful products to lead front-end and support back-end. Responsibilities will include interfacing with leaders in design, product, and engineering to define and implement the best possible web portal. You will work directly with our CTO, taking the lead role in front-end development but you may be asked to support back-end tasks as needed to support shipping product on time in a small team environment. You will be joining a team of top 1% performers and will quickly be given the opportunity to make a significant impact and the autonomy to make significant decisions independently (note that you may not have the exact skills required, but you should be confident in your ability to pick up anything needed for the job).
Take key ownership for the front-end web portal
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
Define architectures that asssure all user input is properly validated
Collaborate with other team members and key stakeholders
Skills and Qualifications
Comfort working with open problems and taking responsibility to make key decisions with relative autonomy
Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
Good understanding of Django, Bootstrap
Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
Proficient understanding of MySQL.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (Git)
Good understanding of REST principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them
