Growth Marketing & Communications Manager

We are looking for a a great storyteller to share the magic of our augmented reality experiences with the world. You’ll be telling the story of our users and the company. You will help craft a consistent story across our website, social media, press releases and product presentation. You’ll also be talking to our customers on a regular basis to refine our understanding of their thoughts and incorporating their feedback into our messaging.

The successful candidate will be a clear, concise writer with excellent people and project management skills. Your core tasks will be pitching, writing, editing and outreach. Put simply, you’ll be in charge of connecting with current and future LightUp customers.

Responsibilities: 
* Tell the story of our customers and the company 
* Work with the design team to craft the messaging across different channels 
* Talk to customers and run surveys to constantly refine our understanding of their needs and improve messaging 
* Experiment with different channels and work with the team to determine the most effective ways to drive product awareness and sales 
* Own the copy on online channels to communicate LightUp’s value to future customers clearly and persuasively

Requirements: 
* Experience in crafting messaging for consumer products, especially to parents 
* Expertise in adapting messaging for key partners (press, education media, teachers) and customers 
* Experience in working with external partners (retail buyers, journalists) to promote a coherent story 
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Bonus: 
* Experience with digital advertising 
* Experience with direct marketing for toys, games or education products a plus 
* Experience with content management systems, like Squarespace or Wordpress, a plus 
* Experience with analytics tools

 

Direct Marketing Analyst

LightUp is looking for a marketing analyst to help us share the magic of our augmented reality tutoring experience with the world. You’ll work with the team to craft our product messaging and formulate product launch strategy. You’ll analyze data from direct marketing campaigns to gain insights into market segments, including user needs, price sensitivity and messaging effectiveness. The successful candidate will be a clear, concise writer, with basic graphics editing skills. Your core tasks will be writing, running ad campaigns and analyzing data. Put simply, you’ll be in charge of finding future LightUp customers and showing them why their children should try LightUp.

Responsibilities: 
* Create and run Facebook ads to assess demand among market segments 
* Run experiments to test/validate key assumptions in determining product-market fit: subscription price, target customers, CAC, effectiveness of different media / copy 
* Test different media and copy on different target audiences to optimize conversion in different market segments 
* Work with team to design landing page and optimize conversion 
* Work with our designer to create new assets for ad campaigns

Requirements/Qualifications: 
* Experience with market / business analysis (MBA student ideal) 
* Proficient with basic statistics and spreadsheet calculations 
* Experience managing Facebook ad campaigns 
* Experience with content management systems, like Squarespace, a plus 
* Experience with direct marketing for toys, games or education products a plus 
* Experience managing Google, Amazon or email marketing campaigns a plus
