Nosto is looking for a Head of Business Development to lead our US West Coast Markets!

As Head of Business Development, you will be part of an exciting and incredibly fast moving growth company that is fast becoming the global leader in AI and personalization for online retail. You will report to the General Manager, North America of Nosto, leading the West Coast sales team to drive new business relationships with ecommerce and retail merchants.

We’re looking for an individual who can lead by example, who can both aggressively hunt for outbound opportunities while also building a high caliber team across a major sales territory. As such, you will be spearheading how we engage with our LA and West Coast based ultra fast moving global enterprise merchants.

The location for this position is Santa Monica, Los Angeles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help define the new business strategy for US West Coast territory
  • Identify and build new market opportunities across various ecommerce and retail verticals especially in fashion and lifestyle
  • Take full ownership of closing identified global ecommerce and retail brands and find ways to grow the market share of the company
  • Manage a team of experienced sales reps in their day to day activities including setting activity based goals
  • Manage the team’s aggregate sales pipeline with a deep understanding of achieving predefined territory goals
  • Report on high level sales and pipeline KPIs to the executives including the GM, Head of Global Sales and the CEO
  • Quickly grasp brands’ issues and objectives and tailor sales strategy to them accordingly
  • Recruit and manage key industry partners in new markets/regions, from system integrators (SI) to technology partners and ecommerce platforms.
  • Work closely with Technical Solution Managers, Partnerships team and rest of the US teams to maintain an active awareness of market trends and communicate these internally
  • Onboard & train new Business Development and Customer Success Managers for the LA team
  • Establish and maintain a strong Nosto culture

Who we are looking for

What we need from you

  • Over 5 years years experience in sales (selling within the retail industry is a plus)
  • A deep knowledge of ecommerce
  • Goal oriented, self-motivated individual who is confident, thorough, and tenacious
  • Proven ability to pursue and close new clients within the retail sector
  • English
  • Entrepreneur mindset with the ability to both think strategically and execute simultaneously

What we would also like from you

  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Min. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or equivalent degree/experience
  • Hunting and outbound, activity based mindset
  • A winner mentality with positive approach to challenges in market building
