Are you eager to learn more about novel wood-to-textile processes and contribute to the shift towards more sustainable textile industry? This is your chance, since the biomass processing research team in VTT Espoo is looking for a student to carry out MSc thesis work in an EU-funded project GRETE (Green chemicals and technologies for the wood-to-textile value chain) 2019-2023.
The planned MSc study will focus on spinning of cellulose fibres dissolved in ionic liquids and therefore we consider the position to be suitable for a chemistry/materials science student with knowledge on cellulose chemistry or fibre spinning technology.
We expect the applicant to have:
A grant will be paid for the thesis worker according to the progress of the work.
