Crowdmade is an early stage startup focused on helping YouTube creators connect with their audience and build their channels in a financially viable way. We currently offer a high-quality merchandise service, from design to production to customer support. In 2018 however, we’re focused on expanding beyond merchandise and launching audience engagement and growth tools for creators.
Working at Crowdmade will be an experience at a very lean startup. We currently design, sell and ship hundreds of thousands of items as a team of 4, so there’s plenty of meaningful work to go around. New employees will immediately have an impact on not only the biggest YouTube channels that we work with, but their hundreds of millions of fans as well.
This role will be heavily involved in improving our backend systems and planning new feature development. We rely on our custom backend to power our vendor operations and will soon be adding new public-facing features. The ideal candidate is curious, isn’t afraid to ask questions, and is resourceful when solving engineering problems. We’re looking for:
- Experience with Python and Django
- Familiarity building and deploying web applications
- Ability to write robust, well-tested code
- Bonus: Ability to contribute to architecture discussion and planning
These roles are currently based in Fremont (Bay Area California), but Crowdmade is expanding its offices to Los Angeles, CA. There will be an opportunity for this role to work in either location.
