Wildfire is the front page of the five miles right around you. It's an app where users post about local events (campus safety, parties, celebrity sightings, and more) to notify the people right around them instantly.
We are a 4-person startup of recent UC Berkeley grads backed by Y Combinator and several tier-one Silicon Valley venture capital firms.
Wildfire is used by thousands of college students and we are growing quickly. Over 50% of UC Berkeley’s campus downloaded Wildfire within a month. When a shooting happened near campus, we notified 4,000 students in 1 minute – and grew by 2,000 downloads in the next hour - literally spreading like wildfire.
This is a unique opportunity to join a startup with significant momentum where you’ll help define our company as it evolves, and build a product that will impact people’s lives daily.
As a Product Designer you will be a part of the Wildfire app UI/UX lifecycle, from proposing initial concepts to ensuring we ship features at a high quality. You will be expected to contribute to all aspects of UI/UX design, including prototyping for iOS or Android, interaction design, and visual design with a focus on user journeys.
