Project manager - wikiHow - San Francisco

wikiHow is looking for curious, motivated, and productive people to come work for us in a leadership capacity. In this role, you will collaborate directly with a senior member of our team to create or grow a project within the company. The role will require you to function as an entrepreneur, giving you the opportunity to learn what it is like to run a business, with the benefit of a growing, profitable company to support you. It is full-time and located at our office in Palo Alto, CA.

You tasks:

  • Lead a project. You’ll work on a high potential project that you alone or you and few others get to grow. Because of our small size, the impact of your work is immediate and sizeable.
  • Work with a small, talented team dedicated to our educational mission. Despite being one of the most popular sites on the web, wikiHow has intentionally kept our team tiny. Since we have only 24 employees, you will work exclusively with great people.
  • Have access to valuable mentors. You’ll be working shoulder to shoulder with a team of people who successfully built one of the most used sites on the internet. You’ll learn a ton.

You are right for this job if:

    • You are a great operator. You make the trains run on time.
    • You are amazingly smart, creative, passionate, detail oriented, and pragmatic.
    • You have a good eye for identifying great products or content, and are excited by experimenting to find the best solution.
    • You are a leader and a superb communicator.
    • You are committed to all parts of a project - from the visionary down to the mundane.
    • You are fun to work with and don’t take yourself too seriously. We are quite a quirky bunch!
