We are now looking for a Senior Researcher / Researcher to join our Clean Air Solutions team. In our team you will be working in close collaboration with different stakeholders in jointly-funded projects, and national and international customer projects. The job is located in Tampere or Espoo, Finland.

With us you will be responsible for

As a member of the clean air solutions team you will be responsible for carrying out and applying for research and customer projects in the field of ventilation systems, air filtration and contamination control. The work contains mainly modelling but includes also experimental research. Your work will utilize Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and multiphase fluid simulation - especially particle-laden air flows including airborne transmission of SARS-CoV-2 and other pathogens. You will be responsible for reporting and communicating the results of your research.

We expect you to have

We are looking for a passionate top expert in CFD (OpenFOAM and/or Ansys Fluent) and multiphase fluid simulation. We expect you to have good knowledge in High-Performance Computing (HPC) and programming.  Experience in experimental measurement techniques and the ability to design and build up setups for the verification of the simulation models is also highly appreciated.

In order to succeed in the vacancy, a doctoral or master´s degree as a background is expected. We also expect you to have excellent skills in academic publishing of the research results.

Good communication skills in spoken and written English are necessary. The ability to apply theoretical understanding to create practical solutions will be highly appreciated. Experience in project or customer work is an asset.
