We are looking for an:

Senior Accountant

Role Overview: We are looking for a dedicated Senior Accountant to become an integral part of our diverse team. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of accounting principles, a proven record of working with business and tax matters, and a passion for excellence. You are responsible for independently working with the daily bookkeeping, including quarterly and end of the year financial statements.

In this position, you report to the Chief Accountant, located in Riga. The Finnish team consists of another Senior Accountant, a Financial Specialist and a Controller. Invoicing and handling of payments is outsourced

Accounting:

• Follow Group accounting policies to perform/review reconciliations and manual journals
• Work together with the GBS outsourced team in ensuring the closing procedures allow for timely and accurate reporting to Group.

Tax - Reporting to Local Authorities:

• Ensure the periodical preparation of local tax (VAT, etc.) and return fillings to local authorities.
• Ensure statistics reporting requirements to local authorities.
• Ensure Group Tax reporting, based on Group Requests.
• Provide support on transfer pricing documentation and impact assessments of new legislation.

Internal control over all legal entities:

• Responsible of the preparation of the internal controls procedures applicable to Finance (including TAX in controls) and to monitor the compliance of the IC allocated to the operation.
• To ensure compliance of organization processes with audit and IC requirements.

Personal Skills & Qualifications:

• Fluent in Finnish and English.
• Qualified accountant with 5+ years of experience, ideally in an international environment.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting and tax legislation.
• Proven experience in internal controls and participation in internal and external audits.
• Self-motivated, with a results-driven approach and ability to meet deadlines.
• Flexible and adept at handling multiple projects and prioritizing tasks effectively.
• Strong work ethic, interpersonal, and communication skills, with proficiency in Excel and SAP knowledge as a plus.
