ABOUT THE POSITION
The accounts Payable Clerk will report to the Vice President of Finance and is accountable for performing all clerical duties necessary to ensure that accounts payable invoices are accurately entered into the system, timely payments are made to vendors and necessary reports are prepared for management.
Responsibilities
- Accurately entering AP invoices in their respective cost centers,
- Preparing and posting accounts payable ledger entries in different cost center
- Preparing and entering invoices for payment,
- Ensuring that payment for supplier’s matches PO’s, freight, etc.,
- Verifying that invoices are correct and according to terms,
- Matching invoices, obtaining signatures/approvals in a timely manner,
- Assist in preparing cheque runs on a weekly basis, ensuring time sensitive payments are made on time,
- Preparing reports as required,
- Communicating and liasing with vendors regarding outstanding accounts, queries,
- Reconciling vendor accounts and investigating discrepancies.
Qualifications and Experience
- + 2 Years’ experience in accounts payable,
- Education in Accounting or Business Administration,
- Must possess a valid passport and driver’s license,
- Familiarity with accounting software and MS D365,
- Experience with a global company would be an asset.
