🎯 Role highlights

• Own our AI layer – You take full end-to-end accountability for our AI-powered product features, translating high-level business goals into robust engineering outcomes.

• Collaborate with a mature R&D org – You will carry out your work in collaboration, not in a silo. You will report directly to our Head of Product and work alongside our Product Owner, Product Designer, and the highly experienced team of Senior Backend Engineers. In addition, you will receive support from our dedicated QA and SRE.

• Hybrid flexibility – You enjoy the balance of remote work with 2–3 office days a week at our brand-new Pasila office.

• Cutting-edge experimentation – You thrive in a high-maturity, AI-first environment where everyone is already fully on board, allowing you to test and implement the latest LLMs, as well as agentic systems and workflows without having to "sell" novel concepts internally.

• Compensation & Ownership – We believe in a total compensation model which includes a fixed base salary, benefits, and the opportunity to become a shareholder in TalentAdore. Your fixed monthly salary will be 4500-5000€ per month.

🛠️ What you will be doing

We do not promote AI because everybody else is doing it. We have been working with AI over the past 10+ years. We have built a solid AI foundation based on which you can take it to the next level. We are by far the most advanced HR tech provider in the market. As part of the role, you will:

• Design and build solutions: You architect and implement advanced, production-ready AI features (such as Conversational UIs, multi-agent orchestrations, and agent-discoverable systems) to solve real open-ended problems. You are not just implementing predefined specs.

• Prototype and experiment: You actively discover, test, and tinker with the very latest capabilities of the LLMs and agentic frameworks. In that way, you develop a strong "technical taste" to evaluate their viability for our scaled product.

• Ensure robust backend architecture: You write clean, scalable Python code and collaborate with our senior backend team to ensure our AI layer is reliable and maintainable in a fast-paced environment.

• Elevate the team: You act as a collaborative partner and AI expert for the wider engineering team, sharing knowledge on AI-assisted development workflows, and helping shape our overall AI direction.

We use tools like Python, FastAPI, Docker, PostgreSQL, Vector DBs, and a multi-LLM architecture – no need to master them all upfront; your curiosity and collaboration will take you far.

🔎 What we are looking for

Must-haves

• Backend Experience: You have at least 4–5 years of work experience in strong backend or full-stack software development (Note: pure Data Science or Machine Learning research backgrounds without solid software engineering fundamentals will not be a fit for this role).

• Python Proficiency: You have deep, hands-on proficiency in Python programming and a strong understanding of robust system architecture.

• Proficiency in AI-driven coding: You are highly skilled at using AI to write/generate code effectively, and you can help elevate how our wider engineering team leverages these tools. You operate fluently in the renewed role of a developer in this era of AI-driven coding.

• Applied AI Knowledge: You have proven experience in building, evaluating and integrating production LLM or agentic systems into real-world applications.

• Curious Mindset: You have a highly experimental and curious mindset. You actively follow the fast-paced AI landscape and love prototyping with new tools, models, architectures, and novel approaches to problem-solving. You naturally stay up to date with emerging developments and continuously explore how they can be applied in practice.

• Outcome-oriented ownership: You have the ability to thrive in ambiguity, identify problem areas requiring your attention, and take full accountability for the end result.

• Help others learn with you: You actively share what you learn and help others grow with you. You enjoy experimenting, documenting practical insights, and turning new knowledge into better engineering practices. You raise the AI capabilities of the entire team by coaching, sharing examples, and encouraging others to adopt better ways of working.

• Teamwork: You possess a genuine appreciation for our collaborative culture, with the belief that the best results are achieved by working together as one team. At the same time, you demonstrate strong self-leadership by taking ownership of your work, working independently and reliably.

Your background
You will likely have:

• Worked in a fast-paced, product-driven SaaS company where you have had real ownership and shipped user-facing features.

• Been part of a mature engineering team where you have had to balance the rapid delivery of product features with long-term architectural planning and reliability.

• Developed full-stack capabilities (having enough frontend knowledge to build UIs when needed would be a great bonus) or have acquired experience in building internal developer tools.

🚨 Compensation & Ownership
At the beginning of employment, the fixed salary is approximately 4500-5000€ per month (depending on your skills, background, and experience.)
