The Role

 We are seeking an innovative and strategic Application Development Manager for our Food Business. The successful candidate will drive sustainable business development and continuous application innovation, leveraging both technical expertise and business acumen to support our innovation processes and product development.

You will be responsible for:

• Lead and manage the development of sugar reduction applications within the Application Team, collaborating closely with NBD, and build the necessary capabilities to reach the project goals
• Develop and establish a platform to enhance and improve sensory evaluations in relevant food applications
• Support selected innovation processes through interaction with R&D, Technical Service, and other internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate and steer selected projects with universities
• Identify and evaluate new opportunities with the existing product portfolio available within AB Enzymes, fostering cross-business exchange
• Support the Technical Service and Product Management team by providing relevant information to demonstrate and quantify product benefits
• Provide technical application expertise across all applications to the Business Unit Food

About You

• Degree in Food Science, Chemistry or Biotechnology with application experience in enzymes
• Proven ability to effectively translate between technology and customer needs
• Outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal skills; strong presentation skills capable of delivering complex topics clearly to various stakeholders
• Flexible, team-spirited approach; customer-focused; results-oriented mindset
• Excellent command of English (written & verbal); proficiency in German is highly advantageous
