In this Safe and Connected Society research area we develop new enabling digital technologies related to connectivity, cybersecurity, and situational awareness. We focus on critical technologies that are relevant across the defence, security, space, and related civil industries. The safe and connected society unit counts 25+ researchers working on cybersecurity, network security and applied cryptography research topics. Some of the problems we tackle include the applications of AI to solve cybersecurity problems, the security of AI systems, cybersecurity testing, the security of future networks (e.g., 6G), quantum transition and content authentication.
