Audition for Oboe Player and extras
Finnish National Opera Orchestra is looking for an Oboe Player for a temporary position (parental leave) for the season 2026-2027. The position includes the obligation to play the English horn.
We are also looking for oboe players as extras who are based in the Helsinki region.
AUDITION will take place at the Finnish National Opera on Wednesday 6.5.2026.
Required pieces:
- W.A. Mozart: Oboe Concerto in C major K. 314, Allegro aperto and Adagio ma non troppo with cadenzas
- Robert Schumann: Three Romances foe oboe and piano op. 94, 1. Nicht schnell
- Orchestra excerpts. Link for the excerpts will be sent after the application has been submitted.
An accompanist will be provided but candidates may bring their own pianist if they so desire.
Position is open to applicants of any nationality.
