We are now looking for an Automation Engineer to join our Pyrolysis team.
As an Automation Engineer, your key goals are to develop process automation for industrially relevant pilot systems in collaboration with researchers and other engineers. In this position, you will have an essential role in improving process functionality and data collection for cutting-edge research in the field of industrial chemistry at the Bioruukki pilot centre in Espoo.
Our team works on pyrolysis processes to develop plastics recycling, renewable fuels and chemicals, and high-value biocarbons. We work closely with industry to replace fossil resources with sustainable alternatives from side streams and waste.

As an Automation Engineer, you will:
- Build and maintain automation for our ever-developing research infrastructure.
- Perform instrumentation and electrical installations.
- Participate in the design of new process combinations
Who we are looking for:
An engineer with
- Relevant education (e.g. in electrical and automation technology, energy engineering) and industrial experience.
- Capabilities in data collection and management with Python.
- Understanding of relevant systems, such as Siemens, intouch and NI Labview.
- Good written and spoken English. Finnish is an advantage.
