Automation Engineer (PLC)
On behalf of our technology industry customer in Turku we now look for an AUTOMATION ENGINEER to strenghten the in-house automation team. Given the proper skill profile the role will be tailored to your qualifications and potential. The position is about process automation as an integral part of mainly marine applications at the core of customer project deliveries. Varying project requirements means every delivery also poses problem-solving challenges in I/O context. The process control system PLC-progamming is done in Siemens environment while a comprehensive solution takes interaction with an array of internal and external stakeholders. This underscores the significance of continuous work documentation for optimal information distribution. In close team interaction you will grow into a process control specialist building on the technical insights derived from every project. Assignment duration is an estimated 3 months. Following a successful ramp-up work can be done remotely. The assignment is also suitable for freelance entrepreneurs part of our supplier network.
The automation engineer we look for has preferably some programming/installation experience and genuine interest in process control. We expect you to be professional and self-driven sharing our passion for technology, engineering and the commitment to move our customers' performance forward.
We expect of you:
- relevant M.Sc./B.Sc.engineering degree.
- 1-3 year relevant work experience and documented commitment to work quality and schedules.
- work experience in Siemens S7 and Tia portal context.
- good skills communicating fluently both by speaking and writing in English.
- and of course, the ability to work both independently and as team member on simultaneous projects under the occasional time-pressure.
