Your role

We are now looking for an AVEVA E3D Administrator to join our in-house design organization.

As an AVEVA E3D Administrator, you will ensure that our AVEVA E3D environment efficiently supports the shipyard’s detailed design activities. You will work as part of a team of 3–5 administrators and play an important role in enabling the successful delivery of our demanding shipbuilding projects.

In addition to maintaining and developing AVEVA E3D, the team is responsible for administering the required AVEVA ERM catalogues and specifications, user management, and ensuring that the systems function reliably in cooperation with the shipyard’s ICT personnel.

What will you be working on?

Depending on the project and your area of responsibility, your tasks may include:

• Maintaining and developing the AVEVA E3D environment
• Supporting designers in the use of AVEVA tools
• Ensuring reliable system functionality together with the shipyard’s ICT team
• Supporting detailed design activities and solving system-related issues
• Developing CAD tools, processes and ways of working together with other administrators and designers
• Managing and maintaining large sets of technical and system data
• Supporting the AVEVA admin team’s colleagues in their responsibilities, such as:
• Administrating and developing AVEVA E3D specifications
• Maintaining AVEVA ERM catalogues and specifications
• Managing users

What are we looking for?

You could be a good fit for the role if you have:

• Experience using AVEVA E3D as design engineer and an interest in developing your skills in system administration

• Ideally, previous experience in AVEVA E3D administration and creating specifications

• Experience with AVEVA ERM is considered an advantage

• Understanding of piping specifications, materials, standards and codes is appreciated

• A systematic and detail-oriented way of working

• An interest in developing CAD tools and improving ways of working

• The ability to work with and manage large sets of data

• Good written and spoken English

• Previous experience in shipbuilding is considered an advantage, but with the right attitude, you can also succeed in the role without previous ship design experience
