We’re looking for a Business Analyst for our Data & AI team

About the job 💼

Your main task would be to dig into business data and technical datasets. You shape and analyze data to form usable and understandable fuel for our business and other data specialists to use – and visualize it to bring value for our stakeholders. You’re working in cloud with advanced tools. You work with the wide scope of area specialists to carry you on.

Your opinions will be valued. You will have room to develop our ways of working to drive us towards excellence.

You will not be alone. You have a team full of data and analytics professionals to help you – analysts, data scientist, data engineers and architects. Common spirit of helping each other is something our colleagues value as one of the best things among Elisa’s data people.

What to expect? Flexibility comes with responsibility. Your work requires skills in networking and communication with key stakeholders, passion to understand data, ability to bring actionable insights from data, and solid technical hands-on experience with databases, BI tools and cloud environments.

Location: Elisa's headquarters at Helsinki, Pasila –  this team follows Elisa’s hybrid working policy, working on average three days a week at the office. 

What we expect from you ✨

• Several years of experience in data analytics roles (e.g. Data Analyst/Engineer, Business Analyst) 
• Expertise in data handling (SQL, plus for Python in data analysis) in BigQuery cloud environment
• Strong visualization skills and experience of BI tools like PowerBI (plus for Looker & Qlik)
• Experience of reporting on Elisa’s business areas: consumer, corporate, techops
• Solid hands-on experience of databases and data pipelines
• Experience of GCP cloud platform
• Understanding of clear documentation and knowledge of what data quality means
• Degree (or near graduating) in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
• The ability for self-driven and transparent planning and decision-making – inspiring others through your own actions and attitude
• A desire to take responsibility for the progress of projects and getting things done
• Good presentation skills (slides + how to present them)
• Good interactive skills and fluent proficiency in English (plus for Finnish)
