Business Controller (m/f/d)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Controller to join our Regional Finance Team, based in Land Salzburg. As a key member of the team, you will act as a sparring partner to Regional Sales and Marketing teams, focusing on OPEX controlling with primary responsibility for marketing budgets, external costs, travel expenses, and CAPEX management. This role is instrumental in supporting our transformation initiatives and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of all marketing and operational investments.
What you will be doing:
- Oversee OPEX controlling, with a focus on monitoring and controlling marketing budgets, travel costs and other operating expenditures.
- Support CAPEX planning, tracking, and reporting to ensure efficient allocation of investment resources.
- Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and internal controls for all OPEX related processes and documentation.
- Drive process optimization and stabilization initiatives to improve controlling efficiency and data accuracy.
- Lead planning and reporting cycles for marketing and investment activities, providing clear and actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Develop and refine KPIs for marketing and investment performance, supporting data-driven decision-making across the region.
- Act as a finance business partner to Regional Sales and Marketing Teams and go-to person for business controlling topics.
Your profile and required competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in controlling/ accounting/ FP&A ideally with a strong focus on OPEX, marketing budgets, FP&A and process stabilization.
- Solid accounting knowledge and background, with a strong understanding of financial processes and controls.
- Technical skills, including proficiency in Excel and ERP systems; experience with Power BI, SAP and OneStream is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated ability to optimize processes and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
