The Role

AB Enzymes is pioneering the market for enzymes in the Pulp & Paper industry. We are convinced that biotechnology will be a key enabler of sustainability for the entire industry. This role is responsible for the strategy development and implementation of ABE’s Pulp & Paper Enzyme segment. Including the leadership of the global team and the P&L.

You will be responsible for:

  • Defining and setting the industry strategy and its implementation​
  • Leading the Global Business Manager, Global Application Development, Technical Service Team and Product Management Team​
  • Owning and setting the budget for the business unit and responsible for its global P&L​
  • Communicating the vision and strategy externally and internally to relevant stakeholders​
  • Defining and drives the long-term Growth Strategy​
  • Defining key market segments and customers as well as competitive environment​
  • Managing priorities to best deliver strategic objectives - including priority setting in R&D​
  • Owning Product and Portfolio Strategy, including Pricing Strategy​
  • Representing AB Enzymes at industry associations​
  • Building and developing a team of strong performing team members

About You

  • 10+ year’s work experience in the Pulp and Paper industry ​
  • Master in Paper Science, Engineering or MBA​
  • Experience with application of enzymes is a clear asset, but not essential​
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a proven track record of leading teams and projects successfully​
  • Solid understanding of technical and commercial industry needs including main financial drivers​
  • Ability to network within the industry and manage stakeholders at multiple levels​
  • Proven track record of developing a business sustainably and with a future-oriented approach​
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally >30%​
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential​
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities​
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English​
  • Structured and results-oriented person taking a proactive approach with a sense of urgency in driving projects to completion while dealing with multiple priorities
