We are looking for a Trainee to join our Business Planning & Analytics team. If spending your summer being close to business, working with numbers, and learning from a team full of professionals sounds like your cup of tea, this is THE opportunity for you.

The Business Planning & Analytics team is responsible for management accounting, business planning processes and analytical capabilities. By analyzing both historical financial and non-financial data and forecasting future trends, we transform raw numbers into actionable insights that steer data-driven decision-making across the company.

Our team consists of Business Partners and Analysts for dedicated functions and business categories. As a trainee, you will work alongside them on assignments determined by business priorities, tailored where possible to fit your skillset. We are seeking a candidate with strong analytical abilities to ensure our most critical tasks are handled efficiently and on deadline, particularly during the active summer season.

As Business Planning & Analytics Trainee, you will be working with:

• Assisting in the maintenance and development of business reports and dashboards to ensure clear visibility of performance metrics
• Conducting business analysis to identify trends and interpreting data to provide recommendations for business stakeholders
• Taking ownership of essential financial processes and reporting (e.g. cost follow-up, COGS calculation, pricing analysis, inventory analysis, profitability analysis)
• Utilizing Excel and PowerBI to automate manual tasks and streamline reporting routines
• Ensuring data integrity by managing inputs between our source systems and reporting platforms

We Are Looking for:

• Excellent communication skills in Finnish and in English
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Some experience working in business controlling, e.g. as a data/business analyst
• Hands-on experience using PowerBI is seen as an advantage
• Studies of industrial engineering and management or economics are of benefit

Practicalities

This trainee position is a full-time job for a fixed-term period until the end of August 2026. We hope you can start in May, but starting and ending dates can be agreed on together to best suit the needs of both parties. 

The position is located in Tampere, and we work with a hybrid model - therefore, a readiness to visit The Factory (Framery HQ) actively to work with the team and meet colleagues is required at least 3 days per week.

The compensation for the role is based on our trainee salary, which ranges from 2250€ to €2800 per month for a full-time contract. The final compensation depends on the achieved study credits.
