Buyer Trainee
Framery is looking for a Buyer Trainee to join the team in Tampere. In this role, you will work in a team of five Buyers to play a key part in ensuring smooth purchasing processes over the summer for production needs. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and suppliers to ensure materials and components are available when needed. This role provides a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow your expertise in purchasing operations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Purchasing components and materials for production and R&D purposes, ensuring timely availability.
- Operative purchasing from selected suppliers to meet production requirements.
- Optimizing inventory levels to maintain balance between cost efficiency and material readiness.
- Communicating actively with suppliers and resolving any issues.
- Contributing and learning about the development of purchasing processes.
What we are looking for:
- Relevant ongoing studies in supply chain management, logistics, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience gained through summer jobs or alongside studies related to purchasing operations and/or supply chain is considered an advantage
- High motivation and capability to learn and grow
- Ability to work in a dynamic work environment with multitasking abilities - you can adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
- Familiarity with Excel - knowhow of ERP systems and procurement software is a plus.
- Precision, flexibility, and good collaboration and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in both Finnish and English to interact with various stakeholders.

Practicalities:
This is a full-time and fixed-term position from May to the end of August 2025. We hope you can start on May 5th, but the exact dates can be agreed on together to suit the needs of both parties best. The position is located in Tampere and we work with a hybrid model - therefore a readiness to visit The Factory (Framery HQ) actively to work with the team and meet colleagues is required.
