Finnish National Opera and Ballet is looking for

Casting Manager of the Finnish National Opera
for an employment relationship valid until further notice 27.7.2026 or according to agreement

You will work as the Casting Manager of the Finnish National Opera in close cooperation with the Artistic Director of the Finnish National Opera.

In your work, you will be responsible for casting opera works (premieres and revival works returning to the repertoire), negotiating and writing contracts for singers and conductors, and securing performances (e.g. sick leaves). In addition, you will take care of the development of the Young Singers' Programme.

You will act as the supervisor of the Head of Staff Directors and the Head Coach, work in close cooperation with the Head of the Vocal Department and the Head of the Artistic Administration of the Opera, and you will also act as a deputy to the Artistic Director of the Finnish National Opera. In your work, you will maintain and develop networks with singers and agencies in Finland and internationally.

We require you to have an applicable degree, work experience in the field, in-depth knowledge of opera repertoire and sound types, good cooperation and interaction skills, fluent IT skills, the ability to manage several issues at the same time, and experience in expert organisations. In addition to Finnish, we require fluent oral and written proficiency in English, other language skills are considered an advantage.
