Cloud DevOps Engineer, Netvisor

Netvisor is the leading financial management system in Finland and it delivers mission critical operations for about 40 000 customers around the clock. Through various integrations, mobile solutions and web interface our system is in constant use while being developed by multiple world-class development teams. All this is made possible by careful planning, automation of workflows, and comprehensive monitoring.

We are now looking for an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer to join us!

What awaits you with us?

At Netvisor Infrastructure Team we have a crucial role in developing, managing and maintaining the technical platform of our product. The team is hands-on in creating sustainable, scalable systems and processes ranging from foundational infrastructure to the monitoring of mission-critical production workloads. Additionally we provide domain-level guidance for our product development teams in their pursuit of excellence. While we prefer to be proactive through standardisation and our platform strategy, we don’t shy away from ad-hoc operations work either.

As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, your knowledge and skills will be essential in making the development cycles smoother and the deployments more robust. Your focus will be especially on our application and infrastructure deployment pipelines, continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), ensuring the efficient delivery of solutions through our cloud platforms. Integrating your expertise while mentoring others, you'll work closely with the rest of the infrastructure team as well as our development and quality assurance teams to leverage DevOps practises across the development organisation.

You get to concentrate on the projects of one single market-leading financial management ecosystem and help Netvisor excel in the years to come. With your expertise we expect to ease our developers’ cognitive load and allow our development efforts to produce customer value faster, more efficiently and with higher quality. This is your opportunity to create something new and use your expertise with a wide perspective.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a self-directed team player with at least a few years of experience working with and implementing DevOps practices. The responsibilities entail change management and encouraging various teams towards the changes we implement. You are efficient with the infrastructure work of either AWS or Azure, and willing to learn more.

We hope that you are proficient with the following or at least most of them:

  • Containerization, Kubernetes
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
  • GitHub Actions
  • Test automation
  • Security shift-left within CI
  • Application and delivery monitoring

Additionally understanding the following helps as they are key for our story:

  • Database Schema Management and Migrations
  • Scripting for task automation

We all like to keep our ears open and to share our knowledge with the rest; hopefully you do too! If you don’t have the desire to stay up to date on the latest and upcoming trends, and bring the findings to reality, we are unfortunately not a match. You must have the audacity to question our past choices. Our working language is English.

What is it like to work with us?

Beyond skill set and background, we're also looking for great people who resonate with our culture. Our culture fosters transparency, experimentation, teamwork, data-driven decision-making, and the pursuit of ambitious goals. We provide a positive and safe work environment within a growing company of around 500 colleagues. You'll have access to modern, well-equipped workspaces and a range of benefits designed to enhance your work-life harmony.

We invest in learning since we know we are never ready - we can all develop our skills further and get fascinated by new things. 10% of our working time is dedicated to learning and you can use it as you see best fit, whatever supports you to succeed in your role. We will provide you the tools needed, whether it be licences to libraries or participation fees for courses, certifications or seminars. This is your platform to shine!
