We are now looking for a

Contract Manager

to join our STEP Pohjanmaa team. The position is based in Koskenkorva.

As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of contracts and leading operation and maintenance services at industrial customer sites for energy and water production across the Pohjanmaa area, including our plants in Koskenkorva, Kaustinen and Seinäjoki. Your role is to ensure the efficient, cost-effective, and compliant production and delivery of energy and utility services by leading the local team and collaborating closely with Business Partners. You will ensure that all services meet STEP and Veolia standards for safety, quality, profitability, and sustainability while actively developing the business for future growth.

As a member of the STEP Leadership Team, you will also contribute to planning and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the effective and compliant delivery of contract services in line with customer and company standards
• Lead and develop operational performance, asset management, and long term maintenance planning
• Monitor and report on financial, operational, and safety performance
• Drive efficiency and continuous improvement through digitalisation and data-driven management
• Manage budgets and ensure that the financial targets (P&L) are met
• Foster strong, transparent relationships with customers and partners, ensuring satisfaction and contract retention
• Identify and develop new business opportunities, supporting tenders and contract extensions
• Ensure adherence to Veolia’s ethics&compliance, environmental, and health & safety standards
• Maintain compliance with Finnish regulations regarding boilers, pressure equipment, and chemical supervision
• Build and develop a capable team, ensuring competence, motivation, and succession planning

You will have full P&L responsibility for contracts in the Pohjanmaa area and will collaborate with other Business Units, including Veolia Finland, to drive internal growth and operational excellence.

What We Expect From You

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering (e.g. energy or process industry)
• 5–10 years of experience in industrial operations and/or contract management
• Proven ability to manage contracts and lead operational performance
• Strong focus on cost-efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction
• Experience in budgeting, reporting, and coordinating maintenance activities
• Solid understanding of safety, compliance, and HSEQ requirements
• Good leadership, teamwork, and communication skills
• Fluency in Finnish and English
