Credit & Collections Manager
We are looking for a Credit & Collections Manager to join our Finance team in a new position. You will take full ownership of our global credit management and collections processes, ensuring the financial health and cash flow of Framery's expanding global operations.
Beyond tracking aging reports, you will build and manage our global credit framework. Your focus will be on securing overdue receivables and minimizing bad debt through proactive customer dialogue. You’ll also automate credit workflows, support commercial teams in safe growth, and lead and mentor our Credit Controller. You will be based at our Headquarters in Tampere, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders while supporting a truly global market, engaging directly with dealers and clients across all time zones.
Your responsibilities include:
- Design, implement, and enforce global credit and collection policies tailored to regional market behaviors.
- Deliver data-driven insights, credit risk assessments, and overdue portfolio analyses to senior finance leadership on an ongoing basis to support agile decision-making.
- Take hands-on ownership of complex collections cases, personally driving the practical collection work and leading "phone-first" negotiations with global clients.
- Make decisive calls on delivery blocks and utilize risk-mitigation instruments to facilitate high-volume sales while protecting operating margins.
- Evaluate and implement automated credit control tools to eliminate manual workflows and modernize processes.
- Act as a direct supervisor to our Credit Controller, offering daily direction, mentoring, and support for their professional growth.
- Partner with Sales and Customer Operations to balance revenue growth with credit risk management, driving internal risk awareness training across commercial teams.
- Manage external partner relationships, including global collection agencies.
What Makes You a Great Fit?
You are a proactive, commercial problem-solver who holds a firm line on risk and isn't afraid to stand your ground to protect operating margins. Rather than passively relying on automated workflows, you look behind the numbers, read human dynamics, and actively intervene to drive results. Your communication style is direct, decisive, and culturally sharp, enabling you to navigate high-stakes negotiations firmly yet professionally, securing cash flow while preserving long-term commercial relationships.
We’re looking for:
- Experience in global commercial operations, customer management, or related finance-related roles, with a proven track record of leading tough negotiations and handling complex customer accounts.
- A tenacious, results-oriented mindset focused on optimizing cash flow with a proactive outreach approach to recovering overdue capital and protecting operating margins.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills, paired with confidence acting as a direct supervisor to coach team members and steer cross-functional stakeholders toward smart, risk-balanced decisions.
- The ability to interpret corporate financial statements, analyse risk, and accurately assess customer creditworthiness.
- Solid systems capability to leverage technology, automate routines, and continuously optimize core processes.
- Full professional proficiency in English (written and verbal) is required to successfully lead global customer negotiations. Fluency in Finnish or other languages is a strong asset for internal and local stakeholder communication.
