We are now searching for a Data Engineer to join Framery on an exciting journey, shaping the future of smart office solutions through data!

As a Data Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of leveraging data to enable more convenient and efficient use of office space. You'll work with a modern data stack, free from legacy systems, allowing you to develop diverse and innovative data solutions across various devices and platforms. You will join our Smart Office Solutions team and you will contribute to the development of Framery data infrastructure enabling both our digital services and our global smart pod business. In this role, you'll be:

  • Responsible for designing and implementing scalable and efficient data architectures, and building and maintaining robust data pipelines.

  • Ensuring data quality and governance by implementing processes and tools to monitor, resolve issues, and establish policies.

  • Optimizing the performance of our data infrastructure.

  • Collaborating closely with both business and technical colleagues to deliver new functionalities for our Smart Office products and further develop our internal data solutions like enterprise data warehouse, data integrations and dashboards.

  • Actively contributing to key technical decisions regarding technologies and approaches.

You'll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g. python) and strong SQL skills.

  • Proven experience in delivering end-to-end data solutions (data ingestion, processing, modeling, storing, serving, and presenting).

  • Experience building data warehouses and dimensional modeling (e.g., Kimball).

  • Familiarity with modern cloud computing platforms (preferably AWS) and understanding how Internet applications and/or connected devices work.

  • Knowledge of data warehousing technologies (preferably Snowflake) and ETL tools (preferably Rivery and dbt).

  • Proven ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems and write clean code.

  • Interest in technology and a willingness for continuous learning.

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) knowledge.

  • Experience, knowledge, or interest in full-stack data science work

Practicalities: This is a full-time role based in Tampere, Finland. You can work where you feel most at ease. Thus, you can choose whether to work in an office in Tampere, at home, or anywhere else in Finland. However, we hope you can also visit the office in Tampere every two weeks.
