We are now looking for an experienced DESIGN ENGINEER to join our team in Lahti, Finland.
In this role, you will be responsible for transforming customer requirements into creative and functional 2D design solutions. You will work on plant layouts, P&ID diagrams, and technical drawings, using tools such as Autodesk AutoCAD and AutoCAD Plant 3D. Your main goal is to ensure our designs are technically accurate and aligned with project specifications and schedules.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Creating 2D plant layouts, P&ID diagrams, and other technical drawings based on customer and project needs
- Producing technical documentation such as BOMs, installation drawings, and datasheet
- Ensuring design comply with technical specifications, safety standards, and project timelines
- Collaborating with project managers, automation engineers, and production teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Providing technical support during procurement, installation, and commissioning phases
In your role, you report to the Technical Director and your office is in Lahti. As the products are very specific, your presence is needed onsite during the orientation period. After that, you can work in a flexible hybrid model.
You are the person we are looking for if you have:
- An educational background in, for example, mechanical, electrical, or automation engineering
- Hands-on experience in 2D design, especially with Autodesk AutoCAD
- Ability to read and interpret P&ID diagrams and technical drawings
- A precise and systematic working style
- Strong problem-solving skills and a self-driven and proactive attitude
- Fluency in English, Finnish is considered as an advantage
