We are looking for a Teacher in early childhood education to Pilke daycare centres at Playschool Kauniainen in Kauniainen city and  Playschool Merikatti in Espoo, Kivenlahti area. 

 

The position requires a willingness to utilise your competence, to develop and innovate new ideas and to provide the children and colleagues with a good day through personal engagement. The daycare centre has places for XX children. 

 

Pilke Playschool Kauniainen is a large and well-established daycare unit located in a pleasant and family-friendly area in Kauniainen. The environment offers a strong English-speaking atmosphere, supporting children’s language development through everyday interactions. The centre benefits from its beautiful locality, with easy access to nearby forests and outdoor spaces, providing frequent opportunities for nature-based activities and outdoor learning. It offers an engaging and supportive setting for both staff and children, encouraging active exploration and high-quality early childhood education.

Pilke Playschool Merikatti is a small and cozy daycare unit offering a warm and welcoming environment for both children and staff. The centre operates bilingually, with one educator speaking Finnish and the other English, naturally supporting children’s language development in everyday interactions. Located right next to the sea, Merikatti provides a unique and inspiring setting with excellent opportunities for outdoor activities, nature exploration, and seaside experiences, creating a calm and enriching atmosphere for early childhood education.

 

 

As a teacher in early childhood education, your task is to support and foster the children’s growth, development and learning. You are familiar with the content of the national core curricula for early childhood education and care and capable of putting them into practice. You plan, assess and develop the child group’s pedagogical activities and, for your part, are responsible for the implementation of high-quality pedagogy at your unit. You base your working methods on pedagogical principles, a positive and active attitude, good interactive skills and the ability to encounter children genuinely. You enjoy working with children, see the future in them and value your work as a teacher in early childhood education, as a good day maker.

 

To be qualified for the position, you must hold at least a Bachelor of Arts in Education degree including kindergarten teacher training or a Bachelor of Social Services and Health Care degree including studies in early childhood education and social pedagogy, 60 ETCS. The selected candidate shall present to the employer a criminal records extract within the meaning of Section 6 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Records Act (770/1993).

 

We offer

  • Salary between 2762,58-3011,25 € / month (starting 1.8.2026 between 2831,64-3086,53€ / month),
  • Regional avaiability allowance for a qualified teacher 192,36€ (starting 1.8.2026 197,17€ / month), 
  • An allowance of 150€ (starting 1.8.2026 153.75€/ month) for a Master degree
  • Signing bonus 1500€,
