Job Overview

We are seeking a Field Service Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide expert technical support and service for Raute machinery at Raute customer sites, ensuring optimal installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrading of production lines. The Field Service Specialist will report to the Service Head Asia.

In this role, you will

  • Provide technical after-sales support to external and internal customers.
  • Supervise machinery installation, commissioning, and upgrading projects at customer sites.
  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency support remotely or on-site.
  • Support sales teams with technical expertise during customer engagements.
  • Coordinate service and CAPEX delivery projects between Raute units and customers.
  • Participate in FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and product/service development activities.
  • Support spare part and maintenance sales; plan and schedule service work efficiently.
  • Maintain active communication with customers to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
  • Adhere to safety rules and practices, both company-wide and at customer sites.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the service department and company objectives.

In this role, a travel time of 90% is required. 

To succeed in this role, it is ideal that you have

  • 3+ years’ experience in mechanical engineering
  • Degree in Mechanical and or Mechatronic engineering background
  • Strong/previous background in the plywood industry or other wood processing industry would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of systems such as Microsoft Office, CAD, and the ability to read or interpret technical documents
