Finance Director

About the role
Gasmet develops and produces gas analysis systems and emissions monitoring solutions at its site in Vantaa, Finland, with sales and service companies in Germany, UK, Hong Kong, Switzerland and Canada. Gasmet is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nederman, headquartered in Helsingborg, Sweden, and listed on Nasdaq Stockholm.
As Finance Director, you will have a clear mandate to lead the finance agenda for Gasmet Technologies Oy. You will work closely with the Head of Business Unit Gasmet and serve as a member of the Gasmet management team. At the same time, you will be part of Nederman’s global finance organization and report to the Finance Director of the Monitoring & Control Technology division. This gives you strong local influence, broad international exposure and a direct connection to the divisional and group-level finance agenda.
You will act as a trusted business partner to local and divisional leadership, bringing financial insight, structure and clear recommendations to support performance, strategic decisions and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and performance follow-up for Gasmet Technologies Oy and the consolidated Gasmet business
- Prepare and present monthly results, forecasts, the annual budget and the strategic plan to local and divisional management
- Translate financial data into clear insights and recommendations that support decision-making, strategy execution and business performance
- Strengthen financial processes, reporting tools and ways of working to increase efficiency and transparency
- Lead, support and develop the local finance team in Finland, ensuring clear priorities, quality and continuous improvement
We believe you have
We are looking for a finance professional with a strong foundation in accounting or controlling, and the ability to combine structure, business understanding and leadership. You are likely to have gained your experience in an international company, a manufacturing environment or public accounting, and you are comfortable working close to both operations and management.
Experience and skills
- A relevant degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a similar field
- Solid experience in finance, accounting or controlling, preferably in an international business environment
- Experience in leading, coaching or coordinating others within finance
- Understanding of Finnish GAAP, local compliance and statutory reporting requirements
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn financial data into clear business insights
- Good communication skills, with the confidence to challenge, advise and support stakeholders
- Confidence working with ERP systems, reporting tools and Excel
- Fluency in Finnish and English
Additional experience that would be valuable
- Experience working in a publicly listed group
- Experience from a manufacturing, production or technology-driven business
- Experience with Digia Envision or Cognos would be beneficial
