Finance Manager


We are looking for a Finance Manager to manage efficient, accurate and timely operation of the venue’s financial accounting, reporting and financial analysis to enhance the decision making within the business. Finance Manager is acting as Business partner to the venue GM and management team and supporting the team with commercial finance and analytical input and advice. Finance Manager also produces management and statutory accounts from journal stage to monthly packs and detailed forecasting and budgeting and ensures that payroll is effectively managed.


Key responsibilities 

  • Responsible for and highly involved in the month and year end process, ensuring P&L and BS are accurately accounted for
  • Delivery of timely and accurate management reporting and financial information 
  • Provide quality analysis, guidance and support to venue GM and operational management
  • Working with the management team on commercial aspects of the business
  • Act as point of contact towards third party payroll provider (currently KPMG) and ensure payroll accounting, and applicable taxes, are accounted for accurately
  • Management and preparation of budgets and rolling forecasts, both P&L and balance sheets
  • Cash and working capital management and forecasting
  • Enhancement of management information, relevant KPIs and reporting appropriate to the end users
  • Ensure all transactional processes are operating effectively and all policies and financial controls are adhered to
  • Continued development of systems and processes to meet the business’ financial data processing, control and reporting requirements
  • Leadership, recruitment and development of the finance team (currently 1 Finance Assistant) to achieve its objectives
  • Liaising with auditors and fulfilling statutory requirements
  • Coordinating the tax matters of the business
  • Ad hoc projects/task as necessary

What we value

  • Bachelor or master’s degree, with a focus on accounting or finance
  • Gravitas to act as the face of Finance as a ‘stand -alone’ Finance representative 
  • Good knowledge of processes, systems and control frameworks
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Relevant professional experience in accounting, IFRS
  • Very good knowledge of English
  • Knowledge of general tax topics
  • Experience of working in Food & Beverage and event industry
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
  • Resilience and ability to work well under pressure and work reactively and proactively
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills

The requirements of the business are such that a degree of flexibility is necessary and some evening and weekend work may be required. Work location is in Helsinki and we have a hybrid working model.
