Are you an experienced finance professional ready to take ownership in a dynamic, international environment? Join us as a Financial Accountant (UK), where you will support the financial management of our two UK entities while collaborating closely with colleagues in the UK and cross-functional partners across the organization.

This role combines operational accounting, compliance, and continuous improvement — offering great exposure to international finance processes and the opportunity to make a real impact within a global company.

What you will be doing:

Financial Controlling & Month-End

• Reviewing monthly P&L and Balance Sheet in SAP & OneStream and correcting issues (fixed assets, prepayments, coding errors).
• Preparing journal entries with complete supporting documentation.
• Providing insight and commentary on actuals vs budget and balance sheet variances.

Compliance, Reporting & Audit

• Ensuring compliance with internal controls, including SOX requirements.
• Completing Blackline reconciliations in accordance with Group standards.
• Assisting in preparing annual FRS 101 financial statements.
• Preparing ONS statistical surveys and supporting VAT, corporate tax, and Group tax reporting.
• Coordinating with internal and external auditors.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Working with Group Finance, GBS, Taxes, Brand Controlling, HR, Retail, Management, and FP&A.
• Providing backup support to the Financial Accountant and Finance Manager.
• Supporting improvements to finance processes and systems.

Operational Finance Support

• Coding purchase invoices and raising budget purchase orders.
• Performing high-level AP reviews and supporting GBS with AP inquiries.
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting of cost portfolios.
• Supporting retail stores with cash handling requests and banking processes.

What you need to succeed:

• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, ideally in a month‑end environment.
• Experience working in an international organization.
• Education in Finance or Business and fluent English are required.
• Strong general ledger skills (journals, reconciliations, P&L/BS review).
• Confident working with accounting systems; SAP or OneStream is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial documentation.
• High attention to detail and solid understanding of accounting principles.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and ease working cross‑functionally.
• Proactive, organised, and focused on continuous improvement.
• Awareness of compliance and audit requirements is an advantage.
