Financial Controller to CapMan, Group Finance & Accounting

CapMan Group Finance & Accounting team is responsible for CapMan Groups’ financial reporting, both internal and external, as well as treasury operations. We are now searching for a Financial Controller to join our team as a parental leave substitute, starting from February/March 2025 and continuing until at least February 2026.
The Role
As a Financial Controller, your main responsibilities are:
- Acting as a legal entity controller for selected group entities by overseeing their financial reporting and instructing the accountants in a proactive manner
- Validation of your entities’ monthly financials, making necessary reconciliations and asking for corrections and entering data into the consolidation tool
- Review of the tax returns of your own entities
- Participation in monthly, interim and annual financial reporting process
- Selected back-up activities related to payments and purchase invoice processing
Who we are looking for
We hope you have already 2-5 years’ experience in group accounting in international companies. You know the core recurring activities in the monthly consolidation process and have experience from some consolidation tools used in the market. You can jump in rather quickly, take over the financial reporting of your own entities and act as the right hand of the accountant.To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Master’s degree in Economics or degree from university of applied sciences
- Practical experience from group accounting
- Knowledge of corporate taxation and IFRS seen as a plus
- Positive hands-on attitude, flexibility and willingness to learn and develop
- Accuracy and organised way of working
- Very good Excel skills
- Fluent Finnish and English skills
