Formulation Scientist / Engineer and Team Leader

to join our growing R&D team in Rajamäki, Finland. In this permanent position, you will take on a leadership role in enzyme formulation development at both laboratory and pilot scales, while also managing daily operations within the Formulation team.

Your role
You will lead and support a team of six technicians, ensuring smooth daily operations, effective task coordination, and prioritization of assignments across multiple development projects.
In this role, your duties include:
•    Prioritizing assignments across multiple development projects and allocating resources efficiently
•    Planning, scheduling, and conducting scientific studies, including stability testing, to develop enzyme formulations
•    Improving existing procedures and developing new ones in the Formulation R&D team
•    Analyzing and synthesizing data from multiple experiments and communicating conclusions and recommendations to project teams and stakeholders
•    Ensuring compliance with applicable quality, safety, and environmental standards

Key qualifications
•    Master’s degree in engineering or life sciences, with a focus on biotechnology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related natural sciences
•    Fluent in both English and Finnish, written and spoken
•    Previous experience in team leadership
•    Understanding of protein stabilization in both liquid and solid forms, as well as downstream processing technologies
•    Familiarity with statistical methods for experimental design and data analysis; experience with Design of Experiments (DoE) is especially valued
