About the role:
Join us in a new role where you will pilot the use of generative AI within our diverse media landscape. In this crucial role, you will empower our teams and business units by validating innovative generative AI concepts. You will craft prototypes and pilot implementations that harness the power of generative AI technologies.

From leveraging a century of content history in innovative RAG experiments to enhancing our consumer services that reach every Finn, your work will have a profound impact. Our You will get to design and conduct pilots close to the business and based on the needs of the business.

We have been utilizing AI for years and have several ongoing projects where AI is being heavily used. In the future, we will invest more in pilot projects that agilely experiment with AI in various applications. Two new positions are dream roles for people who want to pilot AI's possibilities in many applications before widespread implementation. We can discuss customizing the role according to your expertise if necessary.

    
What You Will Do:

• Work with our well-known brands (e.g. Helsingin Sanomat, Ilta-Sanomat, Supla, Ruutu, Nelonen, Suomipop, Radio Rock, Me Naiset, Aku Ankka, Aamulehti, Satakunnan Kansa) and tech teams to validate generative AI ideas and ensure their viability.
• Design and develop hands-on prototypes & pilot projects that employ generative AI technologies in various use cases.
• Use these pilots to validate ideas, desirability, viability, and feasibility and learn the optimal use of AI capabilities.
• Apply your AI skills and the latest technologies extensively across various exciting applications and brands.

Who We Are Looking For:

• With at least multiple years of hands-on experience with Azure or AWS, you can work yourself through the cloud infrastructure. 
• Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs) 
• Good understanding of data modelling for search/retrieval and reranking.
• You can excel both in teamwork and on individual projects.
• Willingness to learn. As new, attractive, and better technologies evolve, you have the willingness and demonstrated capability to learn new things quickly and share your learnings with others.
• A good understanding of the Microsoft Power Platform (or other low-code development platform)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Your proficiency in Finnish is a significant strength, as most of our content is in Finnish. We highly value your ability to communicate effectively in our primary language.
