Global Head of Technology

About the opportunity:

As Global Head of Technology, you will be leading an organization that works to build Nosto into a global Commerce Experience platform leader for digital brands and retailers. You will report to the CEO of Nosto, leading the Engineering domain while setting the technology vision for Nosto, immediate priorities and roadmap for the coming years. Additionally, you’ll be part of the leadership team with a global view and decision-making capacity on how the company is managed.

This role will report to the CEO of Nosto. The role is preferably based in Helsinki or Kaunas.

What you would be working on-

You’ll be leading a high-impact global group of engineers and developers in the organization across software engineering, customer technology, infrastructure and data, while interfacing across multiple stakeholder spectrums including internal teams, clients, investors and partners. You’ll be setting the standard for the quality of our products and services, our release velocity and systems scalability, accessibility to our technology through integrations, API support and documentation as well as how we operate as a global unit across multiple regions and time zones. Our engineering teams are located in Helsinki, Kaunas and Sydney.

• Drive the company’s product and engineering roadmap forward with proactive planning for each phase, contribution and expectation setting across the organization, leveraging forums such as Leadership and Product Leadership meetings

• Acting as role model and leader to inspire direct teams to be motivated and execute extraordinary work for Nosto in our growth journey and for them to contribute to the overall positivity in and around the company

• On a daily basis, but also with a longer-term view, manage the team composition, skills, retention and personal development across all regions, including day-to-day operations such as managing people and differences in opinions across the team with positive outcomes

• Work closely with the Global Head of Product and Product Organization to evaluate product opportunities from a technology and engineering perspective and execute on the defined direction according to plans

• Ensuring scalability, performance, regulatory compliance and cost-effectiveness of the infrastructure supporting the technology and platform

• Consistently research new technologies, interact with partners and find opportunities for Nosto to deliver value for our clients

• Actively drive the engineering organization’s interactions with investors, auditors, insurance companies and government agencies in matters regarding data, security and technology

As Global Head of Technology, you will also be the acting Information Security Officer of the Nosto platform.

• Proven experience leading global tech teams (20+ employees in multiple locations), projects and implementations.

• Knowledge of operating in a complex, global environment.

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills, including the ability to communicate security, and risk-related concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Ability to clearly communicate technical vision & strategy, allowing team members to understand where they fit in the larger plan.
