As Roima continues its international growth journey, we are strengthening our Finance function and are now looking for a Group Financial Controller to support our financial operations, reporting, and compliance across the Group.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting while contributing to the development of efficient, scalable finance processes. You will work closely with the finance team and stakeholders across the business, supporting decision-making with high-quality financial insight and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for monthly and year-end close procedures including preparation of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, management reports, and other key financial documents.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis and provide recommendations to improve financial performance and control across the Group.
• Contribute to day-to-day financial operations including AR, AP, Procurement, Expenses, Treasury and Payroll.
• Contribute to and maintain group, parent and subsidiary tax compliance, including direct and indirect taxation, transfer pricing.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls to ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards and local regulations.
• Manage external audit during annual Group and statutory audits and assist in resolving audit queries.
• Prepare local financial statements in Finland
• Continually evaluate and optimise monthly close and other finance processes, striving to deliver best practice in process automation, efficiencies and improved accuracy.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in audit, working with both large and small companies
• Strong knowledge of Finnish accounting and regulatory framework (Finnish GAAP)
• Experience with financial consolidation processes
• IFRS experience is considered an advantage
• At least 2 years of experience working in a business/industry role outside of audit
• Understanding of taxation and transfer pricing
• Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
• Fluent Finnish and English.

In this role, you will report to the Head of Financial Control & Accounting. The role is primarily based at Roima’s headquarters in Espoo, Finland, with hybrid work possibilities. For the right candidate, other Roima office locations in Finland can also be considered.
