Group Treasurer
We are Looking for an interim Group Treasurer to lead Elenia’s Treasury Team in Helsinki, Finland, for a fixed 12-month period

What you will do
As a Group Treasurer, you will play a central role in ensuring the company’s financial resilience, funding capability and long-term value creation. You will work across key treasury domains, combining strategic oversight with hands-on execution.
Your responsibilities will span four core areas: funding, liquidity management, regulatory financial coordination, and business planning—ensuring the financial foundations required for executing Elenia’s significant investment program.
You will together with your team:
- Lead, execute, and develop short- and long-term funding activities, including capital markets and bank financing
- Manage and develop liquidity and cash management, ensuring efficient daily treasury operations and cash optimization
- Develop and maintain the Group’s financial model and long-term business plan
- Analyse and project-lead for strategic initiatives, investments and M&A opportunities
- Oversee financial risk management, including financing, liquidity and market risks
- Coordinate and analyse regulatory financial matters, and drive financial optimization of business conditions
- Manage and develop investor communication and relationships with banks, investors, rating agencies and other financial stakeholders
- Leading operational finance committee consisting of senior management, board members and representatives of owners with a focus on strategic development of funding and financial optimization
- Prepare and contribute to board and shareholder materials, including financing and treasury-related topics
- Participate in and lead treasury-related development projects and processes, including reporting, planning and financing transactions
You will work closely with internal stakeholders across finance, regulation, risk management and business functions, and act as a key interface towards external financial partners.
The group treasurer will lead Elenia’s Treasury team consisting of four treasury professionals located in central Helsinki.
What we expect from the candidate
- A relevant university degree (e.g. MSc in Finance, Economics or equivalent)
- Several years of experience (typically 5–10+ years) in corporate finance, treasury, banking, investment banking, advisory or similar environments
- Proven experience in funding, financial analysis and stakeholder communication
- Strong understanding of financial markets, capital structures and risk management
- Experience in working with complex financial models and business planning
- Ability to operate confidently with senior stakeholders, including management, investors and advisors
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present financial topics clearly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Finnish is considered an advantage)
- Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint
In addition, experience in regulated infrastructure businesses or understanding of regulatory frameworks is considered a benefit.
We hope you can start in early September, or at the latest in October. The fixed-term assignment will end on 30.9.2027.

The monthly salary range for this position is €6,500–9,500, and will be tailored to reflect your experience, expertise, and the value you bring to the role.
