Internship at the Futures Research Centre
The Finland Futures Research Centre (FFRC) at the University of Turku is looking for an intern to be working with the Futures Conference 2026 activities. Intern should study in the Master’s Degree Programme in Futures Studies, University of Turku.
The internship period will be three months from 1st of April to 30th of June 2026 or as agreed. The Intern will be paid a salary of 1.463 € per month. The internship is full time with a-1-month trial period, and the intern will work in the FFRC’s office at the Turku School of Economics, Turku. Some working days can be done remotely when agreed.
Job description
The intern will join to the team of the organizing committee of the Futures Conference 2026. The conference ‘Sustainability, Temporalities and Futures’ will be organized from Tuesday 9 June to Wednesday 10June on-site in the University of Turku, Turku. Your tasks as a Futures Conference 2026 intern:
- editing the Book of Abstracts and other materials (e.g., signposts and workshop programs)
- preparing materials to the conference website
- assisting in the marketing of the conference (planning the contents, recruiting writers and editing conference related news articles and blogposts)
- corresponding with the participants before, during and after the conference
- assisting to organize the conference in Medisiina D building
- participating the conference; assisting and guiding the conference participants, helping at the registration desk
- organising and taking care of the conference technical assistant team
- other conference related tasks
Who we are looking for
The chosen intern is expected to have good skills in writing and editing, as well as good IT skills and fluency in English. We appreciate good communication and co-operative skills and experience in using social media platforms.
Intern should study in the Master’s Degree Programme in Futures Studies, University of Turku. Priority is given to applicants who have not done an internship during their studies.
