We are looking for HOUSEKEEPING SHIFT MANAGER for Star Arctic Hotel in Saariselkä, Finland

Nestled in the breathtaking fell landscapes of Saariselkä, next to Urho Kekkonen National Park, Star Arctic Hotel offers unforgettable experiences in the heart of Finnish Lapland. Known for its stunning glass cabins, exceptional hospitality, and international atmosphere, the hotel welcomes guests from all over the world throughout the winter season.

We are now looking for a Housekeeping Shift Manager to join our team for the upcoming winter season. In this role, you will lead the daily housekeeping operations by example, ensuring that our high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction are maintained throughout every shift. Working closely with the housekeeping team, you will coordinate daily tasks, support and motivate your colleagues, monitor quality standards, and help create an outstanding experience for every guest. This is a hands-on supervisory role where your leadership, organization skills, and positive attitude will make a real difference.

The employment is fixed-term for the winter season, from approximately November 2026 until the end of March 2027. Working hours are 112.5 hours per three-week period.

What we are looking for

• Previous experience in housekeeping or the cleaning industry
• Previous supervisory or team leader experience is considered an advantage
• A proactive, hands-on approach to leading daily operations by example
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining consistently high quality standards
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Experience using the Mews hotel management system is considered an advantage
• Good communication skills in both English and Finnish
• A valid Category B driving licence
• A positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to motivate and support your team
