HSE Coordinator – Wind Farm Construction Projects Finland

Help Deliver Renewable Energy Projects Safely

We are currently looking for experienced and proactive HSE Coordinators to join our growing project organization supporting several major wind farm construction projects in Finland.

The first assignments are expected to commence during late 2026 and early 2027, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to utility-scale renewable energy projects from the early construction phase through project completion. Based on current project schedules, HSE support will be required from the beginning of construction activities and throughout the entire construction period. 

As an HSE Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring that construction activities are delivered safely, responsibly and in full compliance with project requirements and applicable legislation. Working closely with the Site Manager, Grid Manager, OHL Manager, contractors and project stakeholders, you will help drive a proactive safety culture across all project activities. 

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Employer's nominated Safety Coordinator in accordance with applicable legislation. 
• Support project implementation of HSE plans and procedures.
• Organize and conduct regular HSE walks and safety inspections.
• Monitor contractor HSSE performance and compliance. 
• Participate in toolbox talks and site safety meetings. 
• Focus on environmental compliance and protected-area requirements during construction. 
• Review and monitor RAMS, WMS and contractor safety documentation. 
• Support monthly project reporting and HSE performance monitoring. 
• Interface with authorities, contractors, consultants and project stakeholders. 
• Identify project risks and support mitigation planning. 
• Promote a strong safety culture across all project activities.

Requirements

Essential

• Degree in Engineering, Environmental Management, Occupational Safety or equivalent. 
• Builders Safety Coordinator Training (VnA 205/2009) or equivalent experience. 
• Previous experience in construction site HSE coordination.
• Knowledge of construction safety legislation and industry best practices.
• Experience working with contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills. 
• Fluent Finnish and English language skills. 

Considered an Advantage

• Wind farm construction experience. 
• Infrastructure, power transmission or industrial project experience.
• GWO certification. 
• Experience acting as Safety Coordinator on behalf of the client.
