We are looking for Internal Communication Specialist for the duration of maternity leave

Your key responsibility will be our groupwide internal communication and our communication on people topics in social channels (e.g. LinkedIn). You will report to Director, People and Lecal, Wipak group. You will also co-operate with Wihuri level communication people. This employment is for the duration of the maternity leave of our current employee starting from April 2025 and ending around March 2026.

Ok, what does this mean in practice? You will be responsible for developing engaging written and visual content, including internal news, blogs, videos and infographics. We wish to have engaging internal communication on important topics such as Wipak strategy, people and results.  You will strengthen our employer brand via people related social media posts together with our marketing team. You will also aid our leadership by keeping our employees updated about decisions made during important management meetings. In addition, you will work as a key user of our internal communication channels.

You have strong communication skills, you enjoy being creative and you have a good eye for design and layout. You enjoy working independently and taking the initiative to improve and you are structured in your approach. But you are also a team player that easily builds internal networks and collaborate with colleagues from different functions and countries in our 11 locations. You have a flexible, positive and inclusive mindset.

What are we looking for?

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Communications/Marketing/Business.
• 2 - 5 years communications experience.
• Experience of developing and implementing internal communications programs.
• Experience in developing engaging written and visual content, including internal news, blogs, briefing documents, social media posts, videos, and infographics.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills in English and in Finnish.
• Hands-on approach and an administrative mindset and a willingness to take lead on internal communication processes.
• Excellent interpersonal as well as teamwork skills.

The location for this position is Wihuri headquarters in Kulosaari, Helsinki with hybrid working possibility.
