We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive international student (2nd- or 3rd-year) or recent graduate in business, tourism, or technology from SAMK to join the communication and marketing team at Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK) for a five-month practical training period. The position involves assisting with various tasks related to education export and is a great opportunity for someone interested in gaining practical experience in a dynamic environment. 

The position is suitable for candidates who do not speak Finnish, but we appreciate enthusiasm for learning or improving Finnish language skills. Our team is bilingual. 

Your tasks will include:  

•    Assisting in tasks related to education export projects.  
•    Creating and editing content for social media channels (e.g., Instagram, TikTok).  
•    Producing various types of content (video, photography, text) about studying and student life.  
•    Supporting event preparations and participating in related activities.  
•    Assisting with other communication and marketing tasks as needed.  
•    Performing general office tasks.  

We are looking for an international student or recent graduate who has: 

•    Good teamwork and communication skills.  
•    Organisational abilities and a confident presentation style.  
•    Curiosity and eagerness to learn new things.  
•    Interest in communication, marketing, and the higher education field.  
•    Strong written and verbal skills in English (knowledge of Finnish is a plus).  
•    Creativity, initiative, and a positive attitude.

Salary: 

The terms of employment and salary are determined according to the Collective Agreement for Universities of Applied Sciences (SIVISTA). For students, the base salary is about 1750,00 € gross per month (A trainee in SAMK's degree programme will face a 20% deduction from the trainee's salary for two months) and for graduates about 1980,00€ gross per month.

Additional information and application process: 
The primary workplace is at the SAMK Campus Pori, but the role may require visits to other SAMK campuses. The working hours are 7 hours and 15 minutes per day (the exact working hours of the trainee will be defined separately). 

The selected candidate must have a valid work permit for Finland, as required by the Aliens Act (301/2004) and the Finnish Immigration Service guidelines.
