We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive international student (2nd- or 3rd-year) or recent graduate in business, tourism, or technology from SAMK to join the communication and marketing team at Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK) for a five-month practical training period. The position involves assisting with various tasks related to education export and is a great opportunity for someone interested in gaining practical experience in a dynamic environment.

Your tasks will include 
•    Assisting in tasks related to education export projects. 
•    Creating and editing content for social media channels (e.g., Instagram, TikTok). 
•    Producing various types of content (video, photography, text) about studying and student life. 
•    Supporting event preparations and participating in related activities. 
•    Assisting with other communication and marketing tasks as needed. 
•    Performing general office tasks. 

We are looking for an international student or recent graduate who has 
•    Good teamwork and communication skills. 
•    Organisational abilities and a confident presentation style. 
•    Curiosity and eagerness to learn new things. 
•    Interest in communication, marketing, and the higher education field. 
•    Strong written and verbal skills in English (knowledge of Finnish is a plus). 
•    Creativity, initiative, and a positive attitude.

Salary
The terms of employment and salary are determined according to the Collective Agreement for Universities of Applied Sciences (SIVISTA). For students, the base salary is about 1700,00 € gross per month (A trainee in SAMK's degree programme will face a 20% deduction from the trainee's salary for two months) and for graduates about 1900,00€ gross per month.  

Additional information and application process
The primary workplace is at the SAMK Campus Pori, but the role may require visits to other SAMK campuses. The working hours are 7 hours and 15 minutes per day (the exact working hours of the trainee will be defined separately). The five-month period is divided into two parts: approximately three months before the summer break in July and the remainder after the break.
