We’re now looking for a Java Software Engineer to join our growing team in Penang. Don’t worry if you don’t meet every requirement. We value curiosity and a willingness to learn over a perfect resume.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and test software applications to support manufacturing operations.
• Maintain and update existing software applications to align with evolving business needs.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
• Analyze user requirements and convert into functional specifications
• Ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.
• Provide software application support and deployment for on-site customer activities worldwide.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Proficient in JAVA and SQL (intermediate to advanced level).
• Experience with SQL databases and query optimization.
• Ability of utilizing software versioning tools (eg: Git)
• Familiar with Linux/Windows command line.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Independent, self-disciplined and result oriented
• Willingness to learn new technologies, programming languages or design concepts.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, workflows, and automation systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (eg: OPC-UA, SECS/GEM) is a plus.
