Are you a HR professional who enjoys ensuring effective, accurate and compliant HR processes? Do you want to play an important role in supporting employees and managers in HR related matters as well as the full employment lifecycle in an international industrial company? You might be exactly the person we are looking for to join Nordic Lights as our new HR Specialist.

You will support our Finnish operation and be part of a global HR team of 3-4 persons, reporting to the HR Senior Manager.

Main responsibilities include:

• Supporting day-to-day HR operations, including employment contracts, work permits, employment changes, and general HR administration
• Providing practical HR guidance to employees and managers on policies, practices, and employment-related matters. You contribute to the HR practices and guidelines being in line with applicable laws and collective agreements (Teknologiateollisuus)
• Coordinating onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth employee lifecycle experience
• Maintaining HR data, systems, records, reports, and documentation in several applications
• Coordinating payroll administration by supporting supervisors with payroll data, reviewing payroll calculations and payouts, and collaborating with our payroll provider.

Requirements and desired profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• +3 years of experience from HR-related tasks
• Understanding of employment-related legislation, collective agreements and the importance of compliant HR practices as well as an interest to work with these areas and learn more
• Fluent in English and in either Finnish or Swedish. Ability to work in all of the three languages mentioned is highly valued
• Good collaboration and communications skills and a will to support our managers in their role with HR-related themes
• Digital competence - an ability to work effectively with various HR related systems
• Good attention to detail and the ability to manage accurate HR data, documentation, reporting, and payroll-related information.
