Do you possess a detail-oriented and analytical mindset, along with a proactive approach? Do you have a strong background in manual testing within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)?

If so, then you might be the person we are looking for! We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team to develop one of the leading Financial Management software in the market called Procountor.

Join us as a quality assurance specialist, where your role extends beyond manual testing. You’ll be an essential part of our team, proactively preventing errors and ensuring the flawless execution of our product. QA engineer’s responsibilities include manual testing, planning and reporting on testing activities. You are also capable of testing with and without UI, utilizing technical skills. You have API knowledge to conduct effective testing, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. We also appreciate knowledge in test automation, but please note that it is not a mandatory requirement for this role.

QA engineers are working in scrum teams closely with developers and product owners. Furthermore, you will have support and backup from our proficient QA team, comprised of experts in both manual testing and test automation.

You will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, which will provide a stimulating and challenging work environment. This role allows you to engage with new and modern technologies. Most of your team is located at our headquarters in Espoo, but we also have locations in Turku, Tampere and Jyväskylä, and we work with a flexible hybrid model. Even we work in hybrid model, we tend to meet each other once a month at Espoo office.

  • Jira, Slack, Confluence and Bitbucket
  • Front-end - React, TypeScript, RxJS, interacting with our REST API
  • Full-stack - Java 17, MySQL, JOOQ, Vaadin
  • API - Java 17, Spring Boot, MySQL, JOOQ
  • Jenkins, Junit, JBehave, Cucumber, Playwright, JMockit, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Azure

You don’t need to know them all but experience with these or similar technologies is an advantage. At least we hope you share our passion of learning something new every day.

 

With these skills you are one step ahead

  • Proven experience in manual testing within the SDLC.
  • Experience in planning, executing, and reporting on testing activities.
  • Technical skills for testing without UI, basic knowledge of SQL.
  • Strong API know-how, with experience in API testing preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
  • Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Team player with strong communication skills.
  • Fluent language skills in English.

 

Please note, that passing the standard security clearance vetting conducted by the Finnish Security and Intelligence Service is a requirement for employment. The employer begins the security clearance process immediately, when both parties have signed this contract.
